                 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
                 AGREEMENT WITH A. ODELL LEINART FOR ENGINEERING
                 SERVICES RELATIVE TO MAINTAINING THE PAVEMENT
                 MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR A CONSIDERATION OF
                 FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($15,000.00), PLUS
                 REASONABLE EXPENSES, FOR A SIX (6) MONTH PERIOD
                 BEGINNING MARCH 1, 1997 THROUGH AUGUST 31,
                 1997.
                
                
                                                    
                
                
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized an 

       Amendment to the Agreement with A. Odell Leinart for engineering
       services relative to maintaining the Pavement Management System
       for a consideration of $15,000.00, plus reasonable expenses, for 
a
       six month period beginning March 1, 1997 through August 31, 1997.
